MAKE-UP WORK
In the event that a student is absent from class with an excused absence, the student will be responsible for turning in any make-up work . The student must initiate this make-up work and complete it in the same amount of time as all other students were given for that particular assignment. Work missed due to unexcused absences will not be graded, according to the policies found in the student handbook.
LATE-WORK OR LATE ASSIGNMENTS
All late work will be reduced by half the value of what that assignment was worth on its due date.
Example: If an assignment was worth 10 points and the student turns the work in late, then the highest possible points to be earned on that assignment would be 5 points. Also, any late work must be turned in no later than the last day of that particular unit/chapter. Once the class has begun a new unit/program, no work from the previous unit will be accepted. This work will then become a zero.
Suspension Grading
Suspension from school will impact a student's grade. Although students are expected to make up daily work in order to keep pace with their class, no credit will be given for this work. Tests or other large assignments due during the time of an out of school suspension will be completed immediately upon the student's return to school. All assignments, projects, tests, etc., will be reduced by one full letter grade.
